For this week, in this series of portrait sketches, I explore the vibrant atmosphere of summer. These sketches capture the carefree spirit and warmth typically associated with the season. In an ironic twist, I experiment with incorporating lighting techniques slightly inspired by the Hague School movement, resulting in a brighter and intensified play of light. It’s interesting for me to use these techniques to convey the summer atmosphere, even in the absence of landscape elements.
